My new reel is linked out from Feed and Original Linkage. Pretty happy since I’m a fanboy of both. 🙂  When I emailed in to share my work, I also found out that Original Linkage is run by Bob Sakoui, who is the head of art direction at MRM Worldwide, part of McCann-Erickson WorldGroup. I’m a fan of all inspirational creative resources, especially when I know it’s run and managed as a side gig. Plus it’s always good to know the backstory of a site I visit frequently. Anyways, thanks to both!

Updated my portfolio along with a brand spanking new showreel. Check it out!
Random sidenote: Duke advances to the Sweet 16! That made my entire weekend. 🙂
Lotsa New Stuff
It feels like I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus. But I’ve really been hard at work making things look pretty with some fun stuff at work and some fun experimental stuff at home. A big update coming very very soon. In the meantime, check out some screenshots.
5 seconds and orange
Nick Campbell ( www.greyscalegorilla.com), a motion designer at Digital Kitchen Chicago, started running a weekly (bi-weekly?) themed design challenge. The first challenge was called “5 seconds and orange” and that was really the extent of it. It’s nice having total creative freedom to just practice, experiment and do whatever you feel like but under some sort of direction. If only all briefs could be this fun! A 5 second animation can sometimes take me days to do but I knew I only had a couple free hours monday night to work it out. After my 45 minute subway commute home, I had a general idea of what I wanted to try doing. My 2 hour labor of love:
By the way, make sure you check out his website. It’s a great resource and his portfolio is top notch of course.
